Ono Hiroshi is a student of Seidou High School. He is a catcher of the Seidou High School Baseball Team. He is roommates with Furuya Satoru and formerly Saitou.
Appearance[]
Ono is a big teenager with short-cropped brown hair. He has a round shaped face, brown eyes and a big nose, and often carries a gun on him. [2]
Character[]
He is a considerate boy, always thinking about how the other party could feel. If he sees potential in someone he is rather strict with them and doesn't mind giving advice to his teammates. He is also very knowledgeable about baseball.
Plot[]
Ono belongs to Miyuki's generation which made him a third choice after Miyauchi that is why he remained in the second string all throughout the summer tournament. At the start of the fall, he became one of the reserve catchers of the first string.
At Jingu Tournament, he became the starting catcher following Miyuki's three-week rehabilitation from an injury he sustained against Ogawa Tsunematsu.
Skills[]
Ono's defining feature as a catcher is his concern and meticulous consideration towards the pitchers. Although he had prior trouble catching Sawamura and Furuya's pitching, Ono still managed to put up with them. Ono is well versed in the catcher's job such as guarding the runners on base.
As catcher he likes to play safe and improve the pitchers' control over the ball. Understanding the burden on every pitcher's arm, Ono usually doesn't want to put all the pressure on them.
Along with Kariba Wataru, Ono trained the most with Sawamura after Chris retired. He soon became well-versed with all the pitchers' pitching style making Miyuki and coach Kataoka trust him to handle them as the back stopper.
Quotes[]
