  • Would really appreciate it if you or Diamond came back and helped maintain the wiki a bit. If you don't have the time to do so, please consider promoting Decomposing or myself to admin so we can delete pages and ban editors who vandalise the pages.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Should we include character information that's from Drama CDs? Like the trivia and stuff. I have find out how much involvement Terajima had with drama CDs, but the information could be considered anime facts though still not canon.

Only bringing this up since I saw the Raichi trivia about the bananas, and though it's not confirmed in the manga or by Terajima (yet), it's the main plot point in the Ace of Diamond Character Song Series 10: Todoroki Raichi's drama tracks.

    • I would say it’s legit to include informations from Drama CDs. We should just state that it is from a Drama CD. (I would just prefer to know from which one exactly or from which song it was taken)

  • Hi,

Here's a problem I need your guide about, something is written in the trivia of Miyuki Kazuya about Miyuki Steel (their factory name). I'm sure it's wrong, and I have the translated tweet, but the writer of that text insists it's right but refuses to bring their proof!

I know many of the refrences were some generic "giudebook" or "tweet" or "interview" but if there's any suspicion that the info is wrong I think it's better to mention the specific source.

Thank you so much for this wikia.

    • Obviously you’re overreacting, plagiarism isn’t like this, we're talking about twitter doodles not manga, you are not a reliable source to know these laws. Linzer is knowledgeable enough, so please refrain from reiterating yourself! Besides, I’d rather not hearing these things from people who don’t even know how to properly cite what they write, and I’d rather not hearing worried words for wikia from someone who spreads false info in it and defends them!!

I’m sorry Linzer for this ugly dispute here. I talked to this user respectfully, thinking we’re fellow fans trying to better this wikia, but this user has showed they has no mannerism from the very beginning, that’s why I didn’t see any sense in talking to them and came to you. Unfortunately they stalked me here too and continued with their unpleasant behavior. I’m sorry. And rest assured I won’t do anything w/o your permission, copyright infringement or not. I implied that in my previous post too. I haven’t referred to translators; I don’t know why I’m being accused of spreading translator links! I’m not that stuck on referring to translation anyway, it was just an idea to enrich this wikia more. I don't know why Shiki is this eager to bring up this issue, maybe to stir discussion from the false info and citing problem! It is a big problem, I've skimmed only through Miyuki and Kuramochi pages and so far had found 4 cases of false info, who knows what's going on in other pages. You can't check everything that's written, especially from the active contributors who are supposed to be trusted, though I know you do your best. I think all these side info outside of manga and anime absolutely should be cited, sth our friend here can’t bother b/c their time would be wasted!!

At this point I think it’s better for you to ignore us, b/c apparently we’re just fighting! (Though I don’t intend to go on this embarrassing affair, I think I explained my point well, therefore no more reply from me, so that’s a half relief!) lol

Now on our productive discussion, 1) no translation link until you say so, and 2) citing by referring to the specific source from now on, if you agree. Right?

    • There are no exceptions when it comes plagiarism, and there never has been.

And I personally would rather not have a someone editing on any wiki site without understanding anything about copyright laws or following wikia rules. You're thinking way too high of yourself if you think a person seeing and responding to someone talking about them is stalking.

And yes, you have tried to spread translator links in your earlier edits that I've consistently reversed, and your suggestion to insert links to the translations is a promotion of spreading translations.

    • It's okay. I think if I didn't pay so much attention to the series, I probably would have thought the Kanto Tournament was also part of the Spring Tournament too.

Do you think it's be better to just move all the baseball related things under the same tab? Making separate tabs for Teams& Matches and Baseball seem to be wasting tabs, and since they only have submenus, they can fit under one tab together.

If the two tabs do get combined, we could bring back the Characters tab, but instead of just Male and Female submenus, why not list it by most popular, coach, managers, players, and others. Again it'll be faster navigation and we can add more categories for more specific searches. For the players submenu it could link to the players, we could use it to list either notable players or the categories to player positions. As for the others submenu, that could be for non-players like Wakana, Furuya's grandfather, Sawamura's grandfather, and the two reporters.

    • By the way, there is no link to the baseball page from the Baseball tab.

  • Regarding the public high schools, what do you want them to be named as? I've looked at all the names, and all the public schools used the same four characters, 東京都立 Tokyo Toritsu (Tokyo Prefecture or Tokyo Metropolitan). Translation wise, this just means all the schools with this in their name is a public school run by the government.

Currently we have Public "name" High School like Public Murata East High School and"name" Metropolitan High School like Ouya Metropolitan High School. The most accurate translation would be Tokyo Metropolitan "name" High School or "name" Tokyo Metropolitan Public High School.

Which one version do you prefer since there are several public school teams, and the names are inconsistent with each other.

    • Thanks for the explanation! We just took the names of the early translations, but if they’re not correct we should change them, of course.

I would choose Tokyo Metropolitan "whatever" High School, because "metropolitan" should be enough to understand that this is a public school. Or do we need "Tokyo Metropolitan Public High School" to make it clear that it is a public school? I don't think so, so imo we should go with the "shorter" version.

  • Hi Boss! Will just clarify something before going semi-active for a while, (^u^) I've just seen this new edit about the Yuuki brothers name, it's spelled as Yūki.  I checked and we have ANN to back it up. But our other sources as in MAL and the Guide uses Yuuki. Also lol! I just noticed it in the Official japanese website it's spelled as "Yuki" (the very first one we used before changing it to Yuuki). Other names too like in ANN it's Tōru, in MAL and the Guide it's Tooru, and the Jap website it's just Toru. I'm like which one should we follow? (then I can start with the content edits should there be changes) :)

The other names are consistent so no issues with those but there's just a few... (-_-')

    • It's alright, I changed them back to the correct variation of the elongated ones. For characters that have a different spelling on anime merchandise, a note should be added to the charcter's trivia section that there's a variant spelling of the name.

The only ones we're going to have a slight problem fixing around the wiki are the Yuuki's.

        Loading editor
    • LOL! that would be my fault because I changed most of the pages before (with the Yuuki's). But I think we can leave it like that. (or I can just revert it later.:) )

For the trivia okay, let's do that. :)

  • Hi boss, okay so there's this discussion about whether to use the chapters as reference for the ages of the characters (the age is not in that particular chapter but just the date/month). Also, if we keep that "current" mark (err... for short please look at the discussion between ShikiKira and I at my wall). And let me know your decision. Thank you! :)

Oh, and Boss, I may be going on a semi-active status soon... But I'll you know when. XD

  • Thank you for the offer! I wanted to know what I have do as an affiliate? I'd love to help out with the Wiki but have zero experience with such things. Thanks :-)

    • Hey! What you have to do as a member of the "vandalism watch"? Check new edits and revert them if they are bad/incorrect or if it's a case of vandalism. We'll give you the rights of a "Rollbacker", so that you're able to undo bad edits with just one click, by using the rollback link on diff pages, user contributions list, or the list of recent changes. And if you notice that someone commits acts of vandalism frequently try to make them aware of it (sometimes just telling them helps). If they don’t stop tell us, so that we can block them!

      We would appreciate your help!

PS: And just to make it clear: Affiliation is simply a unofficial cross-promotion thing with wikis with similar subjects ^^ I wouldn’t call you an affiliate xD You would be a special user and part of the dna-wikia team ;)
