Are You Like Me? (Onaji Taipu?, 同じタイプ？) is Episode 4 of the Diamond no Ace Anime series. The Episode was aired on October 27, 2013.
Summary[]
Sawamura meets fellow freshman pitcher Furuya Satoru and realizes that he has to battle him for the status of the ace. The episode follows the storyline from chapter 7 to 9.
Synopsis[]
Sawamura continues running, while the first string members head out for a match against Ichidaisan High School (Tokyo Spring Tournament quarterfinals). It takes him some time to realize that he is the only one on the training ground and can use all the bats and balls he wants. He starts to play catch all by himself until he gets interrupted by Furuya, also a first year student, who offers Sawamura to play catch with him. Furuya realizes that there is something wrong with Sawamura's pitches and asks Sawamura to throw properly, because his pitches are disgusting.
Furuya revises his statement and says if the ball is hard to catch he will probably also be hard to hit. So Sawamura might be a good pitcher. After that Furuya asks if he could throw a little harder – the result is, that Sawamura's glove gets blow away because of Furuya's fast pitch. Furuya reveals that he only came to Seidou because he hopes that Miyuki can catch his pitches, because nobody could do that in Junior High. Sawamura then realizes that he has to battle Furuya for the status of the ace. Meanwhile the coach revokes Tanba's status as the ace, because of his poor performance during the match against Ichidaisan High. Now they have to find out which first years are ready to play in the tournaments – so the coach plans a match between the first years and their upperclassmen.
